God’s way of doing good to his devotees is also unique. For example, if a child gets a boil, his mother gets it treated. There is pain in that too, but the mother knows that this boil will not cause any more trouble in future. Similarly, God keeps playing havoc with the situations and circumstances of His devotees. One of them is ego. When going on any journey, it is convenient if the weight of the luggage is minimal.

There are three stages in the journey – first is sitting, second is walking, third is getting down. In our life too, we have to sit in the womb, we have to go to the house-shop and we have to go to the crematorium. In the journey between these three, we carry the weight of pride on our heads and if the weight is too heavy, our gait will definitely stumble.

Tulsidas ji has written – Timi Raghupati, I am my slave and I am doing good to everyone. Shri Ram takes away the pride of his slave for his benefit. Whenever we are insulted, do not get upset, rather think that this has been done to make us devoid of pride.
