Coming to sorrow in life and becoming sad are two different things. There is no such sorrow which comes without happiness and there is no such happiness which comes without sorrow. Both of these come together. Their understanding is their salvation. There is one word – space.
It simply means make space. Keep a space in our feelings, in our thoughts. Thoughts come from outside, we are thinking. Then we connect our entire personality and existence with that idea.
Rishis and sages have said that the mind does the work of clinging to a person’s body and soul and the more a person’s body and soul cling to him, the more disturbed he is. Remove the mind a little, space came in the soul and body and from here we became calm. And the mind does not fall just by determination, there is no medicine to control it.
The mind is controlled by the breath. If we take Pranayama very seriously every day and do it regularly, we will gain control over our mind. And whenever we remove the mind, that space will be created which calms us.
