Navneet Gurjar’s column: Drama of leaders amidst the fierce form of the sun

There is heat going on across the country these days… and drama too. Summer because the temperature in most states is above forty degrees. Coolers have all died. At some places even the ACs are panting. The sun is in seventh heaven. The temperature remains around 39 degrees till after 6 pm. The streets were almost empty and the air hotter than a frying pan. Early in the morning it feels as if the day has started directly from noon. In the afternoon I couldn’t even look at my face. The evening was also not pleasant. Because due to the strong sunlight and heat, that twilight, that chirping of birds, that redness of the half-set sun has now disappeared from the face of the evening. Even throughout the evening the sun keeps beating us. If you eat too much, you will get heat stroke the next day. Then wander from doctor to doctor! Bear the heat of antibiotics separately again! As far as the drama is concerned, there is competition among leaders and ministers to stage it. Ever since the Prime Minister appealed for austerity, the leaders have been busy showing off. Show off because someone is going on a bicycle, someone is going on a motorcycle. But there is no dearth of cars in the convoy behind. While taking photos or selfies, that convoy of cars is hidden. Oil prices have increased four times but these leaders and ministers have still not given up the lure of their long convoys. As far as the common man is concerned, he has made his daily routine such that he cannot do without a car or a two-wheeler. Even if you have to leave four shops near the house and go to buy vegetables or groceries, the work cannot be done without a car. Without a car everyone is becoming useless. Farmers are also going to their fields on motorcycles now. Why did he stay behind? There is no scope for a bicycle now. In such a situation, I cannot understand why this minister is pretending to go by bicycle. At least be practical. Be practical. You are a minister, go in a car. Saying very proudly, we have taken EV. You have money to change the car. Does the common man whom we want to portray have the money to immediately change his car and buy an EV? In a country of Rs 140 crore where you are distributing free food grains to 80 crore people, how many people can buy EV? As far as the oil crisis is concerned, it is increasing day by day. And it will increase. A few days ago, news came from Gujarat that there was a drought in all the petrol pumps there. Now petrol-diesel war is going on in some areas of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh also. Some people are not getting oil in the desired quantity and some are not getting it at all. But there is no dearth of vehicles in the race. The crowd is the same. Traffic jam is as it is. No one wants to pay attention to this! In fact, the flood of resources has come in such a way that no one can find a way out of it. Or it can be said that the person himself does not want to stop using/misusing these resources. Addiction to material means and resources is like this! What to do if you do? No one is ready to understand that it is not a matter of price, but of availability! Have supplied! On top of that, these brothers of Hormuz are not ready to accept it. One softens and the other becomes furious. When the second bows, the first starts showing his eyes. On top of that, Israel’s Netanyahu keeps adding fuel to the fire from both sides, with both hands. As far as Iran and America are concerned, they have no problem with this. They are selling their oil at high prices to the whole world. Oil is flowing. Earnings are increasing. They are not concerned with the uproar in the world. Didn’t happen before either. Still not there. Pakistan, which has been acting as a contractor to bring about reconciliation between the two, has also lost its face. Reconciliation is no longer within his power. It is not a matter of prices… the flood of resources has come in such a way that no one can find a way out of it. The person himself does not want to get rid of the use/misuse of these resources. No one is ready to understand that it is not a matter of price, but of availability! Have supplied!
