In today’s luxury market, about 8% of even branded goods are said to be fake, leave aside the common goods. Food items are fake, exams are given by someone else in someone’s name, jobs are done in someone else’s name and taxes are being done by someone else and now due to AI it is difficult to even differentiate between real and fake. There are many such incidents in the scriptures also.

Ravana disguised himself as a fake sage and kidnapped Sita ji. Vishnu ji also played the game of real and fake in some incidents. Brahma ji, the guru of the gods, became a fake Shukracharya, who was the guru of the demons. We can also understand from the incident of Shurpankha that when the real-fake conflict arises in life, it should be dealt with by understanding the path of knowledge, action and worship.

Surpanakha came as a fake rather than what she was. Ram, Lakhan and Sita were in front. Shurpanakha’s nose was cut off. Ram is knowledge, Lakhan is action and Sita is worship. If these three ways are correct then we will not be cheated by the fake and will make good use of the real one.
