There is an uproar across the country. Of Ram temple. And theft from the donation box of the temple. Someone is saying – the elders have been left out. Action is being taken against the younger ones. The government says that whoever is guilty will not be able to escape punishment. No one knows how long the theft of Ram-Dhan was going on and how much has already happened. Gold and silver are being recovered from someone’s house! The temple box itself is being confiscated from someone’s house.

Don’t know what will emerge in the investigation! Although in this case, the authentic conclusion about who is protecting whom and who is implicating whom has not been revealed, but it should be the responsibility of the state government to ensure that no kind of political or administrative pressure comes to the SIT. If possible, the investigation should be conducted under court supervision. Unless there is an impartial and independent audit of the donated amount, it will be difficult to estimate the amount stolen.

This incident has also affected the importance of Ayodhya. The first description of Ayodhya is found in Atharvaveda. In this, Ayodhya has been described as the city of the gods: “Ashtachakra Navdwara Devanam Purayodhya”. The city of the gods perhaps because Manu, the manasputra of Brahma, had established it.

It is believed that it was constructed on the advice of Lord Vishnu under the supervision of Devshilpi Vishwakarma himself. According to Skandapuran, Ayodhya is situated on the wheel of Lord Vishnu. It is also said that Ayodhya was first settled by Vaivasvata Manu, the son of Vivasvat (i.e. Surya).

Such incidents are not new to Ayodhya. This city of gods saw strength, majesty and sacrifice and also suffered mountains of sorrow. When I saw the empire of sage-like King Mandhata, I saw King Harishchandra’s truthfulness and sacrifice for the sake of his word by renouncing the throne and even dying.

While witnessing the sacrifice of Kaikeyi who put her finger in the broken wheel of the running chariot, she also witnessed the stubbornness of the same Kaikeyi who sent Ram into exile. If Ayodhya was compared to heaven, its pain had no limit. Be it Dasharatha sacrificing his life due to the separation of his son or Bharat leaving his throne and worshiping Paduka, everything still flickers in the eyes of Ayodhya. Be it Laxman’s fourteen years of service or Urmila’s separation, all these were shuddering moments. Countless stories from Treta to Kalyug are buried in the heart of this city. Removing them one by one is like removing the needles of one’s own sorrow.

The struggle for the birthplace of Ram Mandir, where people are able to see Ramlala today, lasted for about four hundred and fifty years. Sometimes saints and religious leaders took command of this movement and sometimes political parties and their leaders also participated in it. Only because of this movement, many governments fell like a house of cards and also came and formed like a strange storm.

The movement gained momentum for the first time when the locks of Babri were opened. In fact, when the central government hastily overturned the decision of the Supreme Court under the pressure of the Muslim lobby that was furious over the Shah Bano episode, the ferocity of the temple movement started increasing towards its peak. The government opened the locked locks of Babri on 1 February 1986 to appease the Hindus disappointed by the Shah Bano episode. Who knew that the fire of the movement was suppressed inside the closed locks of Babri.

Ashok Singhal’s Shilapujan campaign took the movement to every home. If Ashok Singhal were alive today, how would he have felt, who spent his entire life struggling for the Ram temple and finally gave up his life saying that my last wish is to see the Ram temple built!

Hundreds and thousands of people have struggled for years and even sacrificed their lives for this Ram temple in Ayodhya. It cannot be imagined how much his soul would have been traumatized by such incidents of theft.
