Pt. Vijayshankar Mehta
Going beyond one’s means and doing something for the future of children has become the lifestyle of Indian parents today. At the same time, people sitting in the government attack the dreams of children with their actions. At present, children at home are extremely distressed due to exam style, studies and unemployment.
In such a situation, parents should do an experiment. Especially mothers should try to prepare food with their own hands and children should receive only the food prepared by their mother. These days, the kitchen in our place has gone out of mother’s hands and into other hands. Because experience, memory, love and purity are reflected in the food prepared by mother.
It does not matter whether the mother knows how to cook food or not, but even if she touches it, the taste of the food will change. We Indians consider food not just as food but as an existence, alive. Here food is consecrated by making Prasad in langar and stores. The food offered there has the same respect as the idol in temples.
