Pt. Vijayshankar Mehta
Although we are last in the world in the matter of divorce, there has been an increase in the last 5-7 years. People are preferring peaceful separation from stressful married life. But still every effort must be made to ensure that families do not break up.
Recently, under my watch, such incidents happened in ten families in our contact in one year and I had to play some role somewhere. So I saw that both toxic masculinity and toxic feminism – the tendency of women to see men’s faults – both of these things are affecting relationships.
It is clearly visible that if there had been a little understanding, the relationship would have been saved. Emancipation from an unbearable situation is not bad, but there is danger if divorce becomes fashionable. Ravana was a victim of toxic masculinity and his sister Shurpanakha was a victim of toxic feminism. It will be difficult to save the family in a house where the Ravana within a man and the Shurpanakha within a woman will take over.
